Imagination starts from nothing

We had the opportunity to be involved in every element of the redesign including: Design Iteration, Color and Material Selection, Custom Woodworking, Cabinet Design/Fabrication, Lighting Design/Fabrication, Sign Design/Fabrication, and Library Organization.

With a focus on budget, sustainability, and speed, the final build cost just over $3000 and was finished in 3 months from ideation to installation.

The Material Library was AWARDED an additional $10,000 Seed Grant from the University Libraries to enhance its inventory of sustainable design and material innovation in the Fall 24’ semester.

The Process

3D Modeling

Custom Kerfed Font on a 3 piece layered design for enhanced depth and invisible hanging. Hand Painted with a sleek matte finish.

Section Signs

117 different room configuration options boiled down to 4 of the most efficient and notable variations to mesh together. Emphasis on storage space and display areas.

Durable carpet tiles broaden the space, withstanding high foot traffic and dampening sound. Paired with a custom tracklight sytem with LED spotlights highlighting displays.

Carpet & Tracklight

LED Wiring System

VARIABLE LED hybrid Yellow and White LED. A balanced combination of warm yet hard lighting, creating a highlighted display cabinet unit.

Custom Shelving

Display Lighting

By reconfiguring prefab units, we created a custom shelving system, delivering a unique, high-quality design within tight budget and time constraints. Topped with a mitered baltic birch waterfall to encapsulate the shelving system.
